For school and district IT

School IT setup

What to allow so teachers can open Co-Teaching: Me, Myself & AI, watch its videos and receive their sign-in emails. No software, browser extensions or student accounts are needed.

Share this page with your IT team, or print it as a one-page handout.

1. Allow these websites

All traffic is HTTPS on port 443.

AllowWhy
ai.engagingpd.comThe course site itself.
me-myself-and-ai-a9600.firebaseapp.comWhere the emailed sign-in link lands before it returns the teacher to the site.
identitytoolkit.googleapis.com, securetoken.googleapis.comGoogle Firebase sign-in, which keeps teachers signed in.
firestore.googleapis.comSaves which protocols a teacher has opened and tried.
www.youtube.com, i.ytimg.com, *.googlevideo.comThe protocol videos, embedded from YouTube.
fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.comWeb fonts.

YouTube Restricted Mode: if it is on, approve the EngagingPD-com channel or its videos so they play for teachers.

2. Let the sign-in emails through

Teachers sign in with a link sent by email, with no password. If the email is held or the link is opened by a scanner first, they can’t get in.

  • Sender: Co-Teaching AI <hello@engagingpd.com>, sent through Brevo. Add it to your safe-sender or allow list.
  • Subject lines: “Sign in to Co-Teaching: Me, Myself & AI,” “Your sign-in link for …” and “You’re enrolled in …”
  • Link scanning: each sign-in link works once. Tools that open links to check them (Microsoft Defender Safe Links, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Barracuda) can use it up before the teacher clicks. Exempt links to me-myself-and-ai-a9600.firebaseapp.com from link rewriting and pre-click scanning.

3. Tools teachers use in the protocols (optional)

The site links to these free AI tools. Allow the ones your district has approved; follow your district’s account and age policies for any student use.

AllowWhy
notebooklm.googleGemini Notebook, used in many protocols.
gemini.google.comGemini chat, used in a few protocols.
schoolai.comSchoolAI, used in the historical interview protocol.
khanacademy.org, khanmigo.aiKhanmigo free teacher tools.

4. What the site stores

  • For enrolled teachers: email address, school or district group, which protocols they opened or marked as tried, and the date they were last active.
  • No student data. Students don’t use this site, and every protocol tells teachers never to put student names or identifying information into an AI tool.
  • Visit counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies.

Quick test

  1. Open ai.engagingpd.com on a school device and play the Site Overview video.
  2. Have an enrolled teacher request a sign-in link and confirm it arrives and opens.
